US BTS: Atlanta, Phoenix and Los Angeles strongest growing major airports
US Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reports (17-Nov-2011) the following top 10 US airports ranked by Aug-2011 system (domestic and international) scheduled enplanement on US airlines*:
- Passenger numbers:
- Atlanta: 4.0 million, +3.9% year-on-year;
- Chicago O'Hare: 2.7 million, -1.8%;
- Denver: 2.4 million, +1.2%;
- Dallas/Fort Worth: 2.4 million, +3.1%;
- Los Angeles: 2.3 million, +6.5%;
- Las Vegas: 1.6 million, +2.6%;
- San Francisco: 1.6 million, +3.3%;
- Charlotte: 1.6 million, -2.2%:
