US Airways 'well positioned' to participate in future consolidation: CEO Doug Parker

US Airways CEO Doug Parker announced the carrier plans to run as a stand-alone company, but is well positioned to participate in consolidation if the opportunity arises (Reuters, 20-Oct-2010). Mr Parker also stated Delta Air Lines, American Airlines and United Airlines would need to involve US Airways in any future mergers as they would encounter "large antitrust problems" without the carrier involved in proceedings.
