US Airways passenger numbers down 3.8% - consolidated traffic highlights in Jan-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 4.4 million, -3.8% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 4.0 million, -4.3%;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 118,114, +0.1%;
    • Latin America: 333,215, +0.8%;
  • Load factor: 74.4%, -0.6 ppt;
    • Domestic: 76.1%, -0.7 ppt;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 65.3%, +1.3 ppt;
    • Latin America: 73.0%, -0.6 ppt;
  • Passenger revenue per ASM: +2%. [more]

US Airways: "Our January consolidated (mainline and Express) passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) increased approximately two percent versus the same period last year while total revenue per available seat mile increased approximately three percent on a year-over-year basis.
