United Continental may ground aircraft to save fuel

United Continental Holdings announced it may ground its B737-500 and 767-200ER aircraft to cut fuel use amid rising prices (Bloomberg, 12-Mar-2011). The carrier is considering the move in light of plans to cut capacity growth for 2011. The capacity changes reportedly will not require employee layoffs.
