Tiger Airways Australia operations profitable for past six months

Tiger Airways CEO and President, Tony Davis, stated Tiger Airways Australia's operations have been profitable for the past six months, and the carrier is now well positioned for growth (Bernama, 27-Feb-2010). Mr Davis stated Tiger Group has accelerated its aircraft deliveries for 2010 and 2011, with the Group fleet to increase to 33 aircraft by the end of 2011, up from the current 18 (The Australian, 27-Feb-2010). However, the carrier plans to continue its strategy of prudent growth linked to profitability.
