Thai Airways to suspend Bangkok-Kuwait, Hong Kong-Taipei and Bangkok-Manila-Osaka

Thai Airways reportedly plans to suspend Bangkok-Kuwait, Hong Kong-Taipei and Bangkok-Manila-Osaka service from late Mar-2010 for its Summer 2010 schedule, to shift capacity to higher demand routes (Bangkok Post, 05-Feb-2010). The carrier also plans to resume four times weekly Bangkok-Johannesburg service on 16-May-2010, after suspending the route in Jan-2009 due to lack of demand - see Route Changes Table for more information. Thai is considering also extending the route to Cape Town and is in talks with South African Airways to establish a codeshare for services from Johannesburg to South America.
