Thai Airways reports net loss in 2Q2011

Thai Airways reports (11-Aug-2011) the following consolidated financial highlights for the three months ended Jun-2011:

  • Total revenue*: USD1,520 million, +14.9% year-on-year;
    • Passenger: USD1,184 million, +18.8%;
    • Freight: USD238.4 million, +2.2%;
  • Costs: USD1,750.5 million, +43.2%;
    • Fuel: USD646.3 million, +40.4%;
  • Profit/loss before income tax: (USD274.4 million), compared with a profit of USD63.2 million in p-c-p;
  • Net profit/loss: (USD262.7 million), compared with a profit of USD47 million in p-c-p. [more]
