Thai Airways increases domestic fares by 35% - includes surcharges

Thai Airways adjusted fares across its network of 11 domestic routes, effective 01-Apr-2010, adjusted on an average based on the Thai Department of Civil Aviation's stipulation that airlines may increase fares within the standard price ceiling established by the department. Fares now include fuel surcharge and insurance surcharge in the ticket price. Domestic fares increased by approximately 35% after this adjustment. The last time Thai adjusted its domestic airfare was on 01-Dec-2006. Domestic fares previously averaged THB4.47 (USD0.14) per km, but will now average THB6.00 (USD0.19) per km. [more]
