TAV to commence development plans at Skopje and Ohrid airports in Mar-2010

Turkey's TAV reportedly plans to commence development plans at Skopje and Ohrid airports in Mar-2010 (Balkan Insight, 12-Jan-2010). TAV was initially contracted to extend Skopje Airport's runway and revamp Ohrid Airport at the end of Sep-2008, but delayed the projects due to financial difficulties. Meanwhile, Macedonian Prime Minister, Nikola Gruevski, stated the construction of Stip cargo airport will not be commenced for "several years" to allow for "certain measurements compliant with international standards to be taken".
