Spanish Government to provide EUR600 million in financial aid to airlines

Spanish Government has approved up to EUR600 million in loans to the country's airline industry, to be provided between 2010 and 2012, to avoid "possible restructuring or bankruptcies" (Dow Jones, 16-Oct-2009). Spanish Travel company, Grupo Marsans, announced plans in early-Oct-2009 to sell its airline subsidiary, Air Comet, due to losses at the airline.
