SkyTeam looking to increase scope in Latin America, India, Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific

SkyTeam, in its Aug-2010 Newsflash, outlined its current priorities:

  1. Further increase the scope and reach of the SkyTeam network, including Latin America, India, Southeast Asia and the larger Asia Pacific region. SkyTeam stated it is "actively looking to fill these gaps by talking to several potential partners";
  2. Enrich the seamless SkyTeam experience: SkyTeam members will work on improving service consistency by enhancing products, connectivity and seamlessness;
  3. Deepen the cooperation among partners as a differentiating factor: SkyTeam commented that "by deepening the working relationships between members, the alliance can work more effectively to deliver on the promise to the customers".

The alliance added that it is working with InSites Consulting to implement a new on-line customer survey, launched on 02-Aug-2010, to "better understand the experience of customers flying with SkyTeam member airlines". Seperately, SkyTeam has also reached an agreement with travel technology specialist InterGlobe Technologies to develop an online itinerary planner, to initially be released in early 2011. [more]
