SIA Engineering joins Pratt & Whitney on PW100G risk sharing

SIA Engineering (SIAEC) and Pratt & Whitney (P&W) signed a partnership agreement under which SIAEC will take a 3% share in the development of the PW1500G engine variant, to power the Bombardier CSeries, and a 1% share in development of the PW1200G variant under development for the Mitsubishi MRJ (AINOnline, 31-Jan-2010). SIAEC has formed two special-purpose subsidiaries to hold the investments in the respective programmes and will participate in the participate in the PW1000G risk-revenue sharing programme. P&W will also designate Eagle Services Asia, a SIAEC/P&W JV, as the first engine centre in the global MRO network planned for the PW1500G engine
