Shandong Airlines reports sixth consecutive annual profit, not effected by Beijing-Shanghai HSR

Shandong Airlines stated the opening of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail link in 2011 has not affected the carrier's profitability with the carrier reporting its sixth consecutive year of annual profits in 2011. According to CAAC-News, the carrier did not disclose figures but stated 2011 profits were better than 2010. Shandong Airlines marketing committee deputy general manager Li Yi stated the carrier ranked second amongst Chinese carriers in revenue per ASK in 2011.
