SAS CEO confident in meeting target of becoming profitable in 2011

SAS CEO, Mats Jansson, hopes cost-cutting plans combined with rising revenues will help meet its target of becoming profitable in 2011 (Reuters, 13-Jul-2010). Mr Jansson stated a recovery was coming through and expected underlying growth in the airline market of 4% to 5% over the next four years. Earlier in 2010, it raised USD665 million via a rights issue.
