Ryanair meets with COMAC and United Aircraft Corporation

Ryanair CFO Howard Millar stated the carrier recently met with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) to discuss potential "future" aircraft orders (Reuters, 06-May-2011). Mr Millar added the LCC has also met with other aircraft manufacturers, including United Aircraft Corporation. Ryanair operates a fleet of Boeing aircraft.

Ryanair: "We have no plans for any future aircraft orders, but beyond the horizon, 2014 and 2015, we need to look at some fleet replacement and some growth, and we are meeting with all manufacturers to discuss what they have to offer … Given the size and the scale of the Chinese, you ignore them at your peril," Howard Millar, CFO.
