Ryanair hits back at DAA over Shannon Airport plans

Ryanair confirmed the Dublin Airport Authority rejected its proposal to increase traffic at Shannon Airport, and stated in response that the LCC "can reverse Shannon's 37% traffic collapse [but the] DAA can't" (Routes Online, 02-Feb-2011). Ryanair stated the DAA's claim that "no commercial airport in Europe could agree to these terms" was untrue, as the DAA has confirmed it is providing "these discount rebates to Aer Lingus at Dublin Airport, despite Aer Lingus delivering no growth at all."
