Portuguese passenger numbers down in 2Q2012; national carriers lose market share

Statistics Portugal reported (28-Aug-2012) a 1.2% year-on-year decline in overall air passengers to Portugal in 2Q2012. The largest reductions in passenger movements were observed at Madeira Airport, with a 8.2% year-on-year decline, and Ponta Delgada João Paulo II Airport, where they fell by 10.7%.
