Pinnacle to phase out Colgan brand

Pinnacle Airlines plans to phase out the brand of its Colgan Air subsidiary as part of a restructure just days after purchasing Mesaba Airlines for USD62 million from Delta Air Lines (Buffalo News, 08-Jul-2010).

Pinnacle Airlines: "Over time, our intent is to phase out the Colgan name as we reorganise into two operating airlines. The Pinnacle, Colgan and Mesaba names will continue for the foreseeable future, as we will operate three separate fleets." Joe Williams, spokesperson for Pinnacle Airlines.
