Philippines AirAsia investing in marketing and network adjustment, seeking airport development

AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes said (20-Aug-2014) Philippines AirAsia is investing in brand marketing to drive demand for travel to the Philippines. The airline's revised network is predicted to push fares higher in 2H2014. Mr Fernandes said he is very optimistic with regard to the carrier's turnaround plan. AirAsia is seeking government support to develop airports in the Philippines to support its growth. The company said tourist arrivals in the Philippines continue to show "remarkable growth."
