Philippine Airlines to take delivery of second B777-300ER

Philippine Airlines plans (20-Jan-2010) to take delivery of a its second leased B777-300ER aircraft on 21-Jan-2010. The aircraft, leased from GECAS is to be deployed on services to Brisbane, Hong Kong and Tokyo (Philippine Daily Inquirer, 20-Jan-2010). PAL ordered a total of six B777s in 2006, with the first two to be leased. The remaining four were originally scheduled to be delivered between 2010 and 2012, but have been postponed to between 2013 and 2014. The carrier has launched a "Valentine Special" fare sale on all domestic jet services and most major international routes, to promote the addition of the new aircraft. The discounts are available until 25-Jan-2010, for travel from 01-Feb-2010 to 15-Mar-2010. [more]
