OAG reports 5% rise in Apr-2011 global seat capacity
OAG reports (12-Apr-2011) global airline capacity and frequency in Apr-2011 will rise 4.6% and 3.3% respectively in Apr-2011. The fastest growing market is to/from Middle East which recorded an 11% rise in available seats. Details include:
- Global: capacity +4.6%, scheduled services, +3.3% year-on-year;
- To/from Asia: +10%, +12%;
- To/from Europe: +8.5%, +7.7%;
- To/from Middle East: +11%, +10.3%;
- To/from North America: +4.4%, +2.8%;
- To/from Central and South America: +0.8%, -0.2%;
