Nigeria to continue full passenger screening

Nigeria is continuing 100% enhanced passenger screening at airports, including pat downs and machine screening (The Punch, 19 Jan 2010). The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority stated it would not revert to random screening like some European countries. The US still uses enhanced scanning on flights coming from the countries on a 'terror watch list', on which Nigeria is included. Nigeria is hoping to relieve the situation by installing new full body scanners at its airports soon.
