Mogadishu Airport generated USD1.1m revenue in first three months of operation by Favori

Somalia's Mogadishu Aden Adde International Airport generated (25-Dec-2013) more than USD1.1 million in direct revenue for the country's Government in the three months since 15-Sep-2013, according to airport operator Favori LLC. Favori also commenced preparations for construction of a new main terminal, expansion of aircraft parking areas and construction of a new taxiway. The new terminal is expected to be operational by mid-summer 2014 and will increase revenue generated by the airport by 40%. Favori took over operation of the airport on 15-Sep-2013.
