Melbourne Tullamarine Airport pax up 3% in May-2013, China continues to drive int'l growth
Australia's Melbourne Tullamarine Airport reported (20-Jun-2013) a 3.2% year-on-year increase in passenger numbers to 2.3 million in May-2013 including a 1.7% increase in domestic passengers to 1.8 million and an 8.6% increase in international passengers to 542,297. Airport CEO Chris Woodruff said China continued to be a key driver of international growth, while adding "we started to see the impact of increased capacity to Asia by Garuda Airlines and AirAsia X this month.
