Los Angeles International Airport to issue more than USD1.6 billion in bonds

Los Angeles International Airport announced plans to issue more than USD1.6 billion in bonds to fund renovations at the airport (AP, 18-Aug-09). The bonds will be used to fund:

  • Construction of a new taxiway and firefighting facilities, general airport improvements: USD700 million;
  • Refinance bonds that have been sold to pay for other airport improvements: USD925 million.
