Lion Group and CFM sign agreements on engine maintenance and MRO facility development

Lion Group and CFM International signed (15-Oct-2014) a long-term, multi-billion dollar material support agreement for the carrier's current and future fleet of nearly 1000 CFM engines. The agreement includes comprehensive repair and replacement of parts and provides Lion Air with technical data for component repairs and engine overhaul. Lion Group operates more than 100 Boeing 737s powered by CFM56-7B engines and has 60 A320ceos on order powered by CFM56-5B engines. The parties also signed a consultancy agreement to support Lion Group's planned engine maintenance and overhaul centre in Indonesia. The facility is scheduled to be operational in 2016.
