Korea Airports Corporation says 11 of its 14 airports report losses

Korea Airports Corporation (KAC) announced 11 of the 14 airports under its management reported an accumulated annual loss of KRW50,600 million (USD46.4 million) in 2010 (CAAC-News/Chosun, 03-Apr-2011). The airport management company attributed the operational losses and decline in passenger traffic to the opening of the Korea Train Express. According KAC, three airports including Gimpo, Gimhae and Jeju reported accumulated profit of KRW179,400 million (USD164.6 million) in 2010. Details include:
