KFAED to provide funds for new international airport in Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso's Government and Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) signed (11-Nov-2013) a 26-year loan agreement under which the fund will lend KWD5.8 million (USD20.4 million) to help finance construction of a new international airport at Donsin, north of Ouagadougou. The airport will feature a 3500m runway and 20,000sqm passenger terminal. The total cost of the project is estimated at XOF267.8 billion (USD547 million).
