Ireland's travel tax hurting air access: Minister

Ireland's Minister for Tourism Mary Hanafin stated the country's EUR10 tourist tax was affecting air travel to the country (Irish Times, 29-Nov-2010). Minister Hanafin said removing the poor-performing tax in the upcoming budget was "under consideration", but warned dropping the tariff should not be seen as a "panacea" for Ireland's wider tourism problems.
