Australia's Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reports (05-Jan-2012) the following international traffic highlights to/from Australia in Oct-2011:
- Passenger numbers: 2.5 million, +4.1% year-on-year;
- Available seats: 3.3 million, +7.7%;
- Flights: 13,278, +7.3%;
- Cargo volume: 74,294 tonnes, +1.1%;
- Aircraft movements: 13,928, +4.4%;
- Top 10 international carriers by market share:
- Qantas: 17.6%, -1.9 ppts;
- Singapore Airlines: 9.0%, stable;
- Air New Zealand: 8.9%, +0.7 ppt;
- Emirates: 8.1%, -0.2 ppt;
- Jetstar: 7.9%, -0.2 ppt;
- Pacific Blue: 7.1%, +0.5 ppt;
