Icelandair announces commitment for 12 737 MAX aircraft

Icelandair announced (06-Dec-2012) a commitment for 12 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft including both 737 MAX 8s and 9s worth more than USD1.2 billion at list prices. Icelandair and Boeing will work to finalise the details to convert the commitment to a firm order. Icelandair Group president and CEO Bjorgolfur Johannsson said, "This commitment is the result of our research into what aircraft manufacturers have on offer to help us strengthen and grow our fleet and our network towards the future.
