Iberia revenue down 4.4%, losses narrow in 1Q2010

Iberia revenue down 4.4% - financial highlights for the three months ended 31-Mar-2010:

  • Operating revenue: EUR1,049 million, -4.4% year-on-year;
  • Operating costs: EUR1,125 million, -9.7%;
    • Labour: EUR314.2 million, -3.8%;
    • Aircraft fuel: EUR228.4 million, -21.0%;
  • Profit (loss) from operations: (EUR71.0 million), compared with a loss of EUR147.3 million in the previous corresponding period;
  • Recurring EBIT (loss): (EUR75.5 million), compared with a loss of EUR147.3 million in the previous corresponding period;
  • Net profit (loss): (EUR52.0 million), compared with a loss of EUR92.6 million in the previous corresponding period;
  • Passenger traffic (RPKs): -1.2%;
  • Load factor: 80.8%, +4.4 ppts;
  • Yield: EUR 6.31 cents, -1.9%;
  • Passenger revenue per ASK: EUR 5.10 cents, +3.7%;
  • Operating revenue per ASK: EUR 7.31 cents, +2.3%;
