IAG pax numbers up 28% but cargo traffic down 7% in Oct-2013, premium traffic up 4%

International Airlines Group (IAG) reports (08-Nov-2013) the following consolidated traffic* highlights in Oct-2013:

  • Passenger numbers: 6.3 million, +27.6% year-on-year;
  • Passenger load factor: 81.2%, +0.7 ppt;
    • Domestic (UK & Spain): 77.3%, +2.9 ppts;
    • Europe: 79%, +0.4 ppt;
    • North America: 85.6%, +1.0 ppts;
    • Latin America and Caribbean: 82.2%, +1.3 ppts;
    • Africa, Middle East and S.Asia: 75.9%, -0.1 ppt;
    • Asia Pacific: 81.8%, +1.1 ppts;
  • Cargo traffic (FTKs): -7.2%. [more – original PR]

*Group performance comprises British Airways, Iberia (including Iberia Express) and Vueling. Vueling traffic is currently accounted as non-premium traffic.
