Hong Kong Express opens sale for seven routes as LCC, deputy CEO outlines future growth

Hong Kong Express opened reservation for its first seven routes as an LCC, scheduled for launch from 27-Oct-2013, according to AAStocks.com. The seven routes include to Tokyo, Osaka, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Sabah, Taichung and Kunming. Hong Kong-Osaka will be served daily with A320 equipment from 21-Nov-2013 - see Route Changes Table for more information. Hong Kong Express deputy CEO Andrew Cowen said he expects the carrier's market share to increase by double-digits over the next three months and expects to transport 1.5 million passengers over the next 12 months. Mr Cowen also forecasts the carrier's fleet will increase from five to 30 aircraft in five years, the number of routes will more than double by next summer and employees will increase from 232 to 600 by the end of next year.
