Hainan Airlines announces Boeing 787 Beijing-Boston service, launching in Jun-2014

Hainan Airlines announced (03-Dec-2013) plans to launch four times weekly Beijing-Boston service, served with Boeing 787 equipment from 20-Jun-2014, marking the carrier's fourth North America destination after Toronto, Seattle and Chicago - see Route Changes Table for more information. Hainan Airlines said the new route will further improve its North America route network, bringing new opportunities in exchange between China and the US in political, economic and cultural. According to OAG, Hainan Airlines will be the sole operator on the route while the route will be the second Asian route from Boston Logan following the launch of Japan Airlines' Tokyo Narita service, launched in 2012.
