FAA approves a USD5.2bn expansion project at Philadelphia

US FAA approved a USD5.2 billion expansion project at Philadelphia International Airport aimed at reducing congestion (Philadelphia Business Journal, 04-Jan-2011). Construction work at the airport is expected to take 13 years. The expansion project includes lengthening two existing runways, and building a fifth. United Parcel Service would also be relocated to the airport's west side.
