Emirates to operate A380 to Los Angeles from Dec-2013

Emirates announced (12-Jun-2013) plans to deploy A380 equipment on Dubai-Los Angeles service from 02-Dec-2013, replacing Boeing 777-300ER equipment. The carrier is the sole operator on the route, according to Innovata data. The carrier will operate 489-seat A380s with 14 first, 76 business and 399 economy seats. The carrier recently announced it plans to add A380 service to Zurich. Los Angeles will Emirates' 23rd A380 destinations. The carrier has 34 A380s in service and an additional 56 A380s on order; receiving one A380 delivery per month, on average. [more - original PR]
