El Al reports (15-Aug-2013) the following financial highlights:

  • Three months ended Jun-2013:
    • Operating revenues: USD529.7 million, +2% year-on-year;
    • Operating costs: USD447.8 million, +2%;
    • Operating profit/loss: USD7 million, +191%;
    • Net profit/loss: USD3.7 million, compared to a loss of USD6.1 million in p-c-p;
    • Passenger numbers: 1.2 million, +7%;
    • Passenger traffic (RPKs): +6%;
    • Capacity (ASKs): +6%;
    • Load factor: 82.4%, stable;
    • Cargo volume: 23,500 tons, stable;
  • Six months ended Jun-2013:
    • Operating revenues: USD960.7 million, +2%;
    • Operating costs: USD840.9 million, +2%;
    • Operating profit/loss: (USD29.3 million), compared to a loss of USD21.4 million in p-c-p;
    • Net profit/loss: (USD28.8 million), compared to a loss of USD29.4 million in p-c-p;
    • Passenger numbers: 2.0 million, +5%;
    • Passenger traffic (RPKs): +3%;
