Egyptair to resume Haj services to Medina

Egyptair and Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) reached an agreement to allow Egyptian carriers to resume services to Medina, after GACA banned the airlines more than one year ago (Arab News, 08-Oct-2010). Egyptair now plans to resume Cairo-Medina Haj services on 26-Oct-2010. Egyptian airlines were banned 18 months ago after the Egyptian civil aviation authority rejected a request from Sama, nasair and Alwafeer Air to launch operations from Medina to Cairo.
