Volcanic ash disruptions continue - restrictions in Irish Airspace extended to 1300 Monday 19-Apr

18-Apr-2010 Based on the latest reports from the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre London, http://metoffice.com/aviation/vaac/vaacuk_vag.html, the Irish Aviation Authority has extended the closure of Irish airspace to commercial traffic until 1300 on Monday 19th April 2010.

No commercial passenger flights, including North American traffic, will operate from any Irish airport during this period. Similar types of restrictions are enforced in Northern and Central Europe as well as the UK.

Met experts are predicting that the prevailing weather conditions will continue in the coming days. Ongoing restrictions are therefore likely.
