Update regarding SAS' USA flights 18-19 April

18-Apr-2010 SAS Scandinavian Airlines would like to inform its customers that all its US to Scandinavia flights today, April 18, will depart as scheduled.

All five scheduled flights will arrive in Scandinavia tomorrow morning. Only customers with original bookings or who have been informed that they are waitlisted for these flights should go to the airport.

Following flights will be diverted to Oslo:

SK910, New York-Copenhagen will be diverted to Oslo

SK926, Washington DC-Copenhagen will be diverted to Oslo

Following flights will arrive in Stockholm, if the airspace has been opened up:

SK904, New York-Stockholm

SK946, Chicago-Stockholm

If Stockholm airspace has not been opened up, these flights will also be diverted to Oslo.

The following flight will be diverted to Gothenburg or Oslo, pending airspace regulations:

SK944, Chicago-Copenhagen

(This flight departs 22.05 CDT/05.00 CET; by this time a decision of which airport it will be diverted to has been made)

Customers from the US will be transferred to the following destinations within Scandinavia: Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Oslo and Stockholm, but not beyond.

For customers booked on flights from Copenhagen to the US 15-19APR:

Passengers booked on SK909 to New York and SK925 to Washington DC must travel to Oslo from Copenhagen Airport at 01.00, local time April 19. These buses are only for customers with bookings on flights to New York and Washington DC between

April 15 and 19. Please call +453232 3959 to book a seat, and be at the airport at 23.00 the latest.

Passengers booked on SK943 to Chicago will receive updated information when available.

For customers booked on flights from Stockholm to the US 19APR:

Passengers booked on SK903 and SK945 from Stockholm must meet at Stockholm-Arlanda airport at 07.00, local time. If these flights from US have arrived in Stockholm, they will depart to the US on schedule. If these flights from US have been diverted to Oslo, all customers will be transported to Oslo with bus.

Only customers with original bookings or who have been informed that they are waitlisted for these flights should go to the airport.

None of the flights mentioned above are open for sale.

At this moment SAS cannot estimate when air traffic will resume and refers all media questions on this topic to the local air transport authorities.
