Danish Airspace is closed until at least Monday at 14:00

19-Apr-2010 The clouds of ashes from the erupted Volcano on Iceland, has now lead to the closure of Danish Airspace.

From 15 April 18:00 (local Danish time) all of the Danish Airspace has been closed.

It is not possible to say when Danish Airspace will be fully - or partly - reopened.

Meteorological information's on the cloud of ashes will we used to determine, when it will be possible to use Danish Airspace as well as the Danish Airports again.

Danish Airspace is closed until at least Monday at 14:00 (19 April 2010).

Naviair will monitor the situation and coordinate with the Danish Civil Aviation Authorities.

The announced date, for how long Danish Airspace will be closed, is based on the latest forecasts - but sets no date for when the Danish Airspace will be opened again.

Naviair updates information on the situation in Danish Airspace three times a day, as long as the ash cloud covers the airspace. Updates will be issued at approx. 09:00, 15:00 and 21:00. The updates are issued in accordance with the new forecasts on the ash cloud above Europe.

When it is decided to reopen Danish Airspace, we will inform particularly about this decision as early as possible.
