Cross-Strait economic cooperation remains priority: China

China's State Council Taiwan Work Office Director, Wang Yi, stated expanding economic cooperation remains the focal point for relations between China and Taiwan (Xinhua, 02-Sep-2010). Mr Wang also stated mainland China has completed the relevant "due procedures" to implement the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) signed between China and Taiwan in Jun-2010, adding the agreement can take effect once Taiwan completes their "due procedures".
