Madrid Barajas Airport reports largest pax growth in seven years in Feb-2015

Madrid Barajas Airport reported (12-Mar-2015) an 11.9% year-on-year increase in passenger numbers to 3.0 million in Feb-2015, marking the largest percentage growth in seven years. The airport saw positive growth across all categories, with domestic passengers increasing 13.7% to 2.1 million and international passengers increasing 8.4% to 876,006. Cargo volume increased 3.4% to 29,718 tons and aircraft movements increased 6.4% to 25,516. The growth marks the 13th consecutive month of growth for the airport as well as being 6 ppts above the average traffic growth in Spain. [more - original PR - Spanish]
