Copenhagen Kastrup Airport Sep-2012 pax growth driven by int'l and transfer traffic

Denmark's Copenhagen Kastrup Airport reported (10-Oct-2012) the growth drivers for passenger traffic at the airport continue to be international and transfer traffic, which increased 3.7% year-on-year and 6.6% in Sep-2012, respectively. Sep-2012 traffic highlights include:

  • Passenger numbers: 2.1 million, +1.0%;
    • Domestic: 169,324, -22.2%;
    • International: 2.0 million, +3.7%;
  • Aircraft movements: 21,390, -5.5%;
    • Domestic: 2371, -35.7%;
    • International: 19,019, +0.3%.

The airport also reported the following top 10 destinations by passenger numbers:

  • London: 134,908, -5.1% year-on-year;
  • Stockholm: 121,034, +2.6%;
  • Oslo: 117,253, +0.6%;
  • Aalborg: 78,741, -14.2%;
  • Paris: 73,794, -1.4%;
  • Amsterdam: 72,650, -2.2%;
  • Helsinki: 66,468, -1.3%;
  • Frankfurt: 52,347, +0.7%;
  • Berlin: 48,710, +12.0%;
