Copenhagen Kastrup Airport pax up 3% in Jun-2012, handles 11.3 million pax in 1H2012

Denmark's Copenhagen Kastrup Airport passenger numbers up 3% - traffic highlights:

  • Jun-2012:
    • Passenger numbers: 2.2 million, +3.3% year-on-year;
      • Domestic: 157,842, -25.8%;
      • International: 2.1 million, +6.5%;
    • Aircraft movements: 21,275, -4.3%;
      • Domestic: 1956, -45.4%;
      • International: 19,319, +3.6%;
  • Six months ended 30-Jun-2012:
    • Passenger numbers: 11.3 million, +4.2%;
      • Domestic: 1.0 million, -17.5%;
      • International: 10.3 million, +6.9%;
    • Aircraft movements: 122,291, -2.9%;
      • Domestic: 16,072, -27.0%;
      • International: 106,219, +2.1%.

The airport also reported the following top 10 destinations in Jun-2012:

Copenhagen Airport: "The airport will not be any less busy in the future, as we expect passenger numbers to continue to rise in the coming years. To accommodate this, we have begun an extension and refurbishment of the airport in order to create more room for passengers and airlines," Carsten Nørland, VP sales and marketing.
