Continental and ANA commence US-Japan codeshare operations
Continental Airlines and All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced (16-Mar-2010) plans to commence a codeshare agreement on routes between the US and Japan, effective 28-Mar-2010. It will be the first time that Continental has implemented codesharing with a Japanese airline. The carriers will codeshare on six ANA-operated international services and four domestic Japan services, with three Continental-operated US domestic services also covered in the agreement, as follows:
- ANA daily services from Tokyo Narita:
- International: Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago and Honolulu;
- Domestic: Itami, Nagoya, Okinawa;
- Continental daily services: Los Angeles-Houston, San Francisco-Houston, Chicago-Houston.
The carriers stated that the codeshare agreement represents the first phase of codesharing operations, with an expansion of the agreement expected in the future. [more]
