China’s Chongqing Municipal Government announced plans to invest an additional USD2.9 billion to construct the Easter Terminal at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport as part of the airport’s 2040 Development Plan (Chongqing Daily News, 02-Mar-2010). The terminal is expected to have capacity for 55 million passengers p/a, bringing the airport’s total capacity to 70 million passenger p/a.

As a result of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States of America the US President Barack Obama visited Cuba in Mar-2016.
