China's visitor arrivals down 1% in May-2011

China's National Tourism Administration reported visitor arrivals fell 1.1% year-on-year to 11.2 million in May-2011. Details include:

  • Visitor arrivals: 11.2 million, -1.1% year-on-year;
    • Hong Kong: 6.5 million, -3.4%;
    • Macau: 1.9 million, +1.8%;
    • Taiwan: 467,800, +7.0%;
    • International: 2.3 million, +1.6%.
