China Southern Airlines Henan Co Ltd formally launched

China Southern Airlines Henan Co Ltd, a JV between China Southern and Henan Civil Development and Investment Co Ltd, was officially launched (19-Sep-2014) on 19-Sep-2014 at Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport. China Southern Henan will commence operations using China Southern's visual identity system, with a goal to create a strong local airline in Henan by taking advantage of China Southern's domestic and international route network. The new airline was established based on the assets of China Southern's Henan branch company that dominates the Henan market with more than a 50% market share. China Southern Henan owns a fleet of 25 Boeing 737s and operates 96 domestic and international services to 32 destinations with more than 600 flights per week. CAAC gave the green light for the launch of China Southern Henan in Jul-2013. The airline has a registered capital of CNY6000 million (USD937.5 million), with CNY3600 million (USD562.5 million) from China Southern for a 60% stake and CNY2400 million (USD375 million) from Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment for the remaining 40% stake.
